“Use what you have. Learn everything that can be done with it. Try things you think you shouldn’t do. Record in different places. Put the ‘wrong’ mics on things. Try to capture the loose first takes. Experiment. Only when you have outgrown your gear (and you will know) might you need to search for more. Never blame your lack of time spent recording or not having the ‘right’ equipment.
